About Us

We are a manufacturing company, with our factory in the village of Walkerburn, about 30 miles due south of Edinburgh.

We welcome visitors to the factory where we have a small showroom.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

SHIPPING
The Shipping charges are calculated during the ordering process. We use Parcelforce for our UK and Worldwide parcels and they offer a full online tracking service to all users.

BREAKAGES IN TRANSIT. We take great trouble in the way we pack the goods and hope that they will arrive with you in good condition. If, for any reason, this is not the case we will sort it out to your satisfaction. Just keep the damaged article and let us know that it has arrived broken. We will sort out a replacment immediately and send it out to you, where possible we will arrange to have your damaged piece collected for return.

Delivery Schedule

On a day to day basis however, we aim to turn all orders around in a maximum of 7 days, however all our items are made by hand so please allow up to 28 days for delivery. We will try to meet your deadlines, but please understand that this may not be achievable all the time and we appreciate as much notice as possible. All UK parcels are sent overnight.

Our freight carriers we can guarantee delivery worldwide under the terms stated in their contracts (normally 3 - 5 days).

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will make it for you. - how's that for service ?

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

Credit Card Security

We are commited to looking after your security and assure you that your transaction is completely safe and secure.

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption and we use secure sockets throughout our system.

Orders are only decrypted after they reach our computer and are are not held in clear text on any web site.

We use HSBC for all our credit card transactions.

All of our products come with a 30 day, no quibble, refund guarantee. (this is providing that the goods are returned to us in perfect condition).

Ballantynes of Walkerburn Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy

Returned Items: Returned goods can only be credited if returned in perfect condition, in the original packaging, within 14 days of invoice date.
