The packaging was to say the least outstanding, it could well have been a £5,000 piece of unique art within those wrappings! From the moment I could afford it, I started collecting the somewhat larger figurines of these animals, provided that they’re depicted in a truly natural environment, without flowers or bees, the kind of whimps and fancies wich turn otherwise magnificent pieces into sheer kitch. Teviotdale, sherratt & simpson, country artists, border fine arts, I know them all. Only by mistyping ‘ballantines’, I more or less stumbled upon your truly amazing little pieces of art.
