Product Description

'Lord of the Isles' - given to the high chief of the MacDonald Clan following the battle of Bannockburn by Robert Bruce to Angus Ogg in thanks for his suppport. The lands given were vast, from the Butt of Lewis in the North to the Isle of Man in the South, from the remote island of Tiree in the West to the Great Glen in the East.
Ogg contolled the lives of men women and children over a vast area and with his fleet of fast galleys dominated the seas. So great was his influence that he controlled trade between Scotland and Ireland and was seen by the English to be a great threat leading to running feuds.

Stands 8" tall, and can be painted into your own tartan if required.
