Product Description

At Waterloo on the 18th June 1815 at 1 p.m. Napoleon ordered his massive I Corps to attack the allied centre. The Corps, veterans from previous campaigns, scaled the ridge and started to drive back the defending infantry, the crucial moment of the battle had arrived. In reserve were Uxbridge's Heavy Cavalry including the Royal Scots Greys. At Uxbridge's command the Greys charged headlong into two regimental columns of French Infantry, smashing through them and on into the valley below. The French attack withered, and now the French Cavalry counter charged killing many of the tired and blown 'Greys'. The charge, however, had suceeded in buying Wellington precious time, the rest they say, is history. The sculpture stands 12" from hooves to bearskin.
This statuette makes a lovely retirement presentation or farewell gift to serving and ex members of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.

Stands 13" tall,
