This highly detailed 11" scale military figurine depicts a Royal Marine deployed, perhaps to the Falkland Islands. His dress and equipment is exactly right for the era, SLR, 58 Pattern Webbing, Windproof Smock, DMS Boots and LAW anti tank weapon on his back.
We remember with pride the actions of the Royal Marines, the 'Yomp' across the Islands followed by the attacks on Two Sisters and Mount Harriet above Port Stanley. This is the perfect commemorative piece for the 20th Anniversay of Operation Corporate (The Falklands War). This statuette makes a lovely retirement presentation or farewell gift to serving and ex members of the Royal Marine Commandos.
