Product Description

The Royal Highland Fusiliers (RHF) are recruited from Glasgow and Ayrshire and can trace thier roots back 300 years to 1678. The are styled 'fusiliers', from the word fusil which are fintlock muskets with which the regiment were equipped in 1691. The RHF are the only British Infantry Regiment to carry three banners or 'colours'. The 3rd, or 'Assaye' colour was awarded for their stand at the battle in 1803 when the regiment was led out of action by the Quartermaster, the only officer who was not killed or wounded. The Pipers wear 'Red Erskine' kilts and the regiment the 'Mackenzie' tartan trews.

We will supply this figurine on a thin 'Collectors' base as standard. If you would like us to mount it on a deeper 'Presentation' style base (like in the pictures) please choose the option opposite. The bottle of whisky in image 4 is to provide a visual reference on how tall the sculpture stands.
