Product Description

The figure depicts a Sergeant of the Royal Sappers and Miners 'pegging out' work that his Company would be undertaking that night. All around him the British and Allied Army, retiring from Quatre Bras, would be starting to occupy their positions, preparing for a wet night ahead, and battle on the morrow. The sergeant carries a standard issue 'Brown Bess' musket and is wearing issue Shako with black tassels, Red Jacket, (the Blue's similar to the Royal Horse Artillery, originally issued had been withdrawn after members of the Corps had been mistaken for the French!) and grey breeches.
