John Smyth joined the 95th Rifles in 1805 and came from Bethnal Green in Middlesex. After training he was posted to No 6 Company, 1st Battalion and was despatched to Portugal in 1808.
Between 1808 and 1816 when he was discharged Smyth fought in 13 actions including 12 in the Penninsular and his last at Waterloo.
Rifleman Smyth at Corunna is a limited edition to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Rifle Brigade in the Year 2000.
