Product Description

A Guardsman from a 'Line Company' of the 3rd (Scots) Foot Guards during the battle of Waterloo 1815.

The Regiment were formed up on the crest of the ridgeline behind Hougomont Farm. As the battle progressed, they were ordered to despatch two Light Companies to reinforce the 2nd Foot Guards within the farm complex.

Later in the day the guards were subjected to fontal cavalry charges by French Curassiers followed by the direct attack of Napoleons Imperial Guard.

Having held the field, the regiment were in the vanguard of the British attack against the French to carry the day.
